Ceramic Coating Instructions

Preparation Process

  1.  Wash: perform a thorough comprehensive wash and cleanse all crevices.
  2.  Clay:  Remove paint surface contaminants, impurities, and tar. Get the painted surface fresh and smooth free of impurities.
  3.  Polish: Improve Paint Imperfection for smoother surface to improve contact and adhesion.

Recommend using water-based polish to increase efficiency and results. Less oil means less time to remove and degrease.

  1.  Alchohol wipe down:  Degrease and Removal of oil residues from polish to increase bonding.

70% Isopropyl alcohol mixed with distilled water 1:2 ratio for degrease. This helps break down oil.

Tips :

Use a clear 2 oz bottle for application quantity control and even distrubution. The clear bottle help monitor product usage. Sprayer provides finer mist and for even product distribution.

NOTE:  Product quantity usage is based on vehicle size. Data is obtained based on equivalence to Subaru WRX, BRZ, VW GTI, and Mazda 3. When applying Flyover or Maintain approximately less than 0.5 oz is used for the entire car.

Textile and Leather Coating

The purpose of the coating is to protect the fibers from absorbing stains. There is no hydrophobic affect due to the looseness in the fibers creating a gap thus liquid can pass through.

Hyde

Surface Prep:  Deep clean all leather surfaces to remove oil, grease, and dirt.

Materials:

  • One Microfiber Towel
  • Foam Applicator Pad and Suede Cloth Provided in Kit

Curing TIme:  8 hours

Procedure

  1. Surface prep. Thoroughly clean and dry all surfaces, free of contaminants and grease/oil.
  2. Wrap suede cloth around foam applicator pad that comes with the bottle.
  3. Mist product onto an applicator. Can spray directly to working area but less control of even distribution.
  4. Work on small area at a time. Apply lightly onto working area in checker pattern.
  5. Use fresh microfiber towel to level off if there is streaking.
  6. Working time is less than a minute before coating flashes off.
  7. Wait 1 hour before adding another layer. More layering will enhance the protection.

Product Storage

  • Keep in a cool dry place (5-25 C)
  • Be sure to fully sealed the bottle to prevent liquid from hardening.
  • Keep away from sunlights.
  • Do not mix with other products.

Safety

  • Keep away from children.
  • Wear gloves and mask when applying.

Application Tips

  • Always shake bottle before use.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and/ or high air humidity
  • The cleaner the car's paint, the longer the coating last.
  • More layers enhance coating performance.
  • Work on smaill area one at a time.
  • Temperature dependent. If temperature is above 25 C , wipe off and leveling time is reduced.
  • Level coated surface with a pressure of just the weight of your hand. More than that can cause high point.
  • Always use fresh new towel to level and buff to prevent streaking.

High Spot Inspection and Correction

  1.  Appearance: What does it look like.
  1. It is a dark shaded blotchy like.
  1.  Cause:  Why there is high spot and streaking.
  1. Not using a fresh clean microfiber towel an
  2. Missed or did not buff in time.
  3. Applied on a freshly painted surface not is not cured.
  4. Applied too much or uneven pressure when buffing.
  1.  Recognition: How to look for high spots.
  1. Use indirect light source.
  2. Put vehicle outside in the shade.
  1.  How to Fix High Spot
  1. ASAP Try to dissolve it with another new layer of the coating and wipe it off.
  2. Use distilled water and spritz onto area and level gently/lightly with a dry fresh microfiber towel.
  3. You can use fine to cutting polish agent and pad to remove.
  1.  Curing Condition
  1. Keep indoor away from environmental contaminants.
  2. Keep away from water and dust. Remove at once if here is drop of water on surface.
  3. Can  be cured at room temperature.
  4. Curing can be expedited when treated with dryer or infrared radiator or oven.
  1.  Maintenance
  1. How you maintain can impact the longevity of the coating.
  2. No abrasive nor aggressive materials or solutions such as cleaner wax, wax stripping soap, clay bar, polish, or acidic cleanser.
  3. Waxing is okay only if contains no abrasives.
  4. Washing with soap and water only.
  5. Maintain the coating with Maintenance or Flyover for longevity. Reconditioning at least 1x per year depending on the usage and frequency of use of vehicle. Reconditioning helps rejuvenate and strengthen the performance of coating.
